The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has released an important notice addressing the challenges caused by the ongoing disaster situation across the country. According to CEB General Manager Shirley Kumar, electricity bill disconnections will not take place this month, and all pending charges will be added to the upcoming billing cycles. Due to flooding and limited access to affected areas, meter reading and bill distribution have been temporarily suspended. The CEB also reports significant operational losses as a result of the severe weather conditions.
